Born
in 1941 coming from a troubled home, I grew up in the streets, bought a
car, and hung out with the “car people”.
The social centers for teens with cars were any local hamburger
drive-in. This graduated to
car clubs where various car club members would customize their cars and
again, hang out at drive-ins. This
lead to car clubs presenting car shows to the public where their cars
could be admired.
By High School, I was well on my way to being the only pinstriper in Northern Colorado. I was a founding member of a car club in Greeley, Colorado called the “Igniters”.
